Frost/Nixon (2008)

For a movie that was about 2 people talking, I think that Ron Howard did an excellent job directing this. The style reminded me a lot of Kenneth Branagh Sleuth (another awesome movie that I highly recommend -- It's funny that they're both plays). Frost/Nixon was exciting -- in the same way a suspense thriller is, but it was historical and I think that adds another element into the equation.

I've read several reviews that claim that Michael Sheen's David Frost outacted Frank Langella's Richard Nixon -- but I think that argument is what makes this movie so enjoyable. That it's like watching someone prepare for battle -- and jump in headfirst. Langella plays Nixon like a tragic hero, a truly haunting performance.

I strongly recommend seeing this movie NOW. Don't wait to rent it, don't wait for it to lose at the Oscars -- just go out and see this. This movie was worth way more than I actually paid for it.
